Microdermabrasion Is Good For Your Skin

The diamond microdermabrasion works with high-precision diamond grinding heads and thus frees the skin from cornification. This process frees the pores and follicles. At the same time, the skin receives an impulse to produce new and fresh cells. Diamond microdermabrasion, which originally comes from medical technology, must be distinguished from surgical macrodermabrasion (skin abrasion under general anaesthesia in the clinic) and other forms of grinding treatment (dermasanding, etc.). During microdermabrasion, the deeper layers of the skin receive a signal to form more fresh cells and the skin regenerates from within. Regeneration from the inside solves many problems such as wrinkles and lines, impurities, scars, pigmentation and age spots. By removing the hornification, the skin also has the possibility again to let care substances penetrate much deeper.

The various fine hygienic diamond treatment heads are guided over the skin by means of a handpiece, depending on the appearance of the skin. In comparison to a classical peeling, this device allows a targeted and absolutely controlled removal of the horny layer, the pigments, the scars etc.. The actual microdermabrasion treatment takes approx. 15 – 20 minutes. Following this treatment, high-quality active ingredients are introduced and special masks are applied (feel-good treatment).

Areas of application of diamond microdermabrasion

  • Reduction of wrinkle depth and visible improvement in scar treatments
  • Treatment of stretch marks (large diamond attachment for the body)
  • Large pored, impure and oily skin
  • Acne and acne scars
  • Treatment of eye wrinkles (crow’s feet)
  • Vacuum massage with immediate lifting effect
  • Preparation for the absorption of high-quality active substances

What treatment is recommended for optimal microdermabrasion results?

For an initial diamond microdermabrasion, a treatment course of at least 5 treatments is necessary to achieve the best possible result. The treatments are performed at intervals of approx. 1 week. The correct care before and after microdermabrasion is also important. Therefore, we recommend microdermabrasion in combination with a care or intensive treatment.

When should microdermabrasion not be performed?

The following contact indications should not be treated with microdermabrasion:

  • Active Herpes
  • rosacea
  • Pathologically inflammatory skin conditions
  • bacterial or viral infections
  • warts, nevus cell nevi, hypertrophic scars, keloids
  • Fresh scars and wounds
  • Neoplasia and tumors

What do you have to consider with microdermabrasion?

After a treatment you should protect the skin for 2 – 3 days, during this time the natural protective film of the skin regenerates itself.
You should care for your skin after the application with high quality care substances.

With the uppermost skin layer, the skin’s natural sun protection is also lost. Therefore you should refrain from sun exposure or solarium visits for more reviews regarding this approx. 1 week after the microdermabrasion.
When you are in the sun, you should apply a high sun protection factor (30).
Do not go to the swimming pool or sauna 48 hours after the treatment.
Let the skin breathe as much as possible and do not apply make-up if possible.

The care of the skin after the treatment is very important. Therefore, make sure that the products used contain a lot of moisture and skin-building substances, but not fruit acids, many fats or essential oils.
An optimal result can only be achieved with an additional care treatment.
